G13 Haze strain

G13 Haze is a sativa-dominant hybrid from Barney’s Farm in Amsterdam, which lists its parents as G13 × Hawaiian Sativa; most strain databases say simply G13 × Haze.1,2,3 It took the overall title at the 20th High Times Cannabis Cup in 2007 after placing second in 2006.4,5 It tests at a median total THC of 20.30% across 14 state lab tests of G13 Haze flower, with the middle half of results between 19.98% and 21.86%, a small sample.6 Leafly users report euphoric, happy and giggly as its top effects.2

A sativa-dominant hybrid. Barney’s Farm lists 80% sativa / 20% indica for both its feminized and regular seeds, AllBud gives the same split, Weedmaps calls it sativa-dominant, and Leafly files it as a hybrid and rates it mostly energizing.1,2,3,7,8

Is G13 Haze the same as G13?

No. G13 is one of its parents: an indica of legendary origin that Leafly users call sleepy and relaxed, where G13 Haze users report euphoric and giggly.2,9 In state lab records the two are counted separately: 14 flower tests of G13 Haze against 97 of G13.6 For the parent’s own history, lab sample and the unverified origin legend, see the G13 guide.

How strong is G13 Haze?

Our only measurements come from a small sample: the median total THC across 14 state lab tests was 20.30%, and 1 test reached 25% or more.6 Strain databases publish higher figures: Leafly lists 21%, AllBud 21–29% and Barney’s Farm 23%.1,2,8

Did G13 Haze win a Cannabis Cup?

Yes. Barney’s Farm’s G-13 Haze took first place overall at the 20th High Times Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam in 2007, a year after finishing second overall to Green House’s Arjan’s Ultra Haze #1.4,5,10

What does G13 Haze taste like?

Sources disagree on the fruit. Leafly users report pepper, pine and sage; AllBud describes citrusy tropical fruit over woody pine and spicy earth; Barney’s Farm lists a taste of sweet candy, tropical fruit cocktail and citrus.1,2,8

Why is G13 Haze hard to find?

Few stores list it. On Oct 3, 2026, Weedmaps showed G13 Haze flower at only 3 store listings in 2 of 27 US markets; 25 markets, including Los Angeles and New York, had none.11 It is a seed-catalog strain: SeedFinder lists six breeders’ versions and GrowDiaries 73 grow diaries.12,13

  • In this small sample, G13 Haze met the 20% line far more often than the higher marks: 71% at 20% or higher, 7.1% at 25%, and 0% at 30%.6
  • Two of the two single outside THC figures sat above the 20.30% lab median; the highest, 23% from Barney's Farm, was reached by 14% of tests.1,6
  • G13 Haze has an observed 20.30% median and a 7.1% share at 25% or higher, but 14 tests are too few for a comparative rank.6

A Cup winner with little shelf presence

G13 Haze’s reputation rests on two Amsterdam podiums: second overall at the 19th High Times Cannabis Cup in 2006 and the overall title at the 20th in 2007, the second of Barney’s Farm’s four overall wins.4,5,10 High Times’ 2014 list of the 25 greatest strains ranked the parent G-13 #12 and named G-13 Haze as the 2007 winner.14 Its Leafly page has 222 reviews, against 1,224 for G13.2,9

It does not appear in the sales rankings we checked: Leafly’s best-selling strains of 2025 and The Marijuana Herald’s September 2026 list of top sellers by state.15,16 On Oct 3, 2026, Weedmaps showed G13 Haze flower at 3 store listings in 2 of 27 US markets, and our lab dataset holds only 14 strictly matched tests against 97 for G13.6,11 Growers keep it going: GrowDiaries lists 73 grow diaries and 27 recorded harvests.13
